Just absolutely amazing! Every member of staff was just lovely, it's obvious that everyone enjoys working there. We were made to feel so at home and so looked after. Jose taught our wee girl Spanish, Vivian taught her some Nigerian words. Hannah (wee Millie), Connor, Emma, Alim, Joe, Zakira, Claire, Zoe, and a special thanks to Katie! Everyone was just lovely! The pool was fantastic, food lovely. There is even a bug hotel in the garden. The hotel is ten minutes walk from Mickleover which is a lovely town with friendly people and some nice pubs, especially the Masons.

Lovely luxurious hotel with very comfy beds. Hair dyer provided along with tea / coffee making facilities. The kids loved the pool and you don’t need to bring your own towels! They sell goggles & pool accessories too. Food is served until 10.30pm which was great for us as we were late arriving. Free drink for everyone staying in the room if you don’t need your room serviced! Bar staff made me feel welcome as a single parent travelling with 2 children… nothing was too much to ask for. Reception were very accommodating when we needed extra bits for our room

Room was a lot bigger than I expected, couldn't access the balcony but no biggie. Bed was comfortable, clean and had a bath which was nice. Air con was a nice plus. Staff were fantastic. The hotel itself was in need of a little TLC but it was due for maintance in weeks time. Breakfast was so good, and buffet style. Parking was different with a covered porch way in case of inclement weather, underground parking though I didn't use it. Above all a great hotel just outside of Derby and close to so much more.

Friendly staff from the moment we arrived. The hotel is a lot better than it looks in everyway. The spa area is great and ideal to relax in, we stayed in there to long as the restaurant was closed when we got out! We had a bar meal which although was fairly pricey, was really good. The room was really good and comfortable, a lot better than expected. This was a stay before going to Alton Towers which is 30 mins away, will be staying here again when we return.

We were greeted warmly upon arrival, very friendly, helpful and informative. Easy to find our room and was lovely and clean with plenty of space for 3 women to share. Didnt have any trouble parking and was free! Location suited us well but we didnt know the area at all so i dont know how close trains or bus routes are. use of the spa and facilities were included in the price of our stay
